Induction day 35…
July 7, 2008 at 8:42 pm (Induction) (Atkins, diet, menu)
35 days in and doing fine although I do find myself frustrated with my weight loss. I wish I could take a magic pill and drop 100 pounds. I am realistic though and know that isnt possible so I am just sticking with what I know works and taking it one day at a time.
I know a lot of people are reading my blog and using it to help in their own weight loss journey. I really just started this blog as a way to keep track of what I am eating and to document my emotions over the course of losing this extra baggage. I am thrilled that it might help others who are struggling with their own weight issues. I will try to add more important information to my posts in order to help people even more.
My first important point is to read the book and follow it exactly! I use the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution because it is the last book Dr. A was personally involved with and in my opinion Atkins nutritional is a load of crock company intent on making money off of peoples desperation to lose weight. I think if Dr. A were alive, he would absolutely without a doubt not be ok with how they are using his name to push crap products. The Atkins bars and shakes and other assorted variety of crap foods are pure garbage and I would never ever put them in my body. They have stuff in them that is not induction friendly and Atkins Nutritional admits themselves that their products have been known to stall the weight loss in some people. So that is my first advice, read the book, follow it exactly and dont waste your money on the bars and shakes. Eat as close to a whole foods diet as possible. Tomorrow I will talk a little about supplements and how important they are.
