Hot here today but I am doing good. Had a commitment yesterday that involved cooking mass quantities of bad carb food for the local Moose Lodge I belong to. There wasn’t a single thing there that I could have except 2 slices of tomato. I was cutting up dessert and absentmindedly licked my finger without even realizing it. I caught myself though and spit it out! That just goes to show how badly I was on food autopilot before. Mindlessly eating whatever I wanted. How monumentally stupid. Breaking those old habits is an important part of this weight loss journey. I started my 6 week fitness challenge today. I did an advanced pilates video that was a little too advanced for me but if I couldn’t do the exercises they were doing, I would just modify it or do crunches for that series. Phew, that was hard and my abs are feeling it! I also did 50 squats and 10 minutes of arm work using a resistance band. I’m proud of myself and feel great!
Breakfast – 3 slices bacon (0.2 carbs), 1 egg cooked in butter (0.6 carbs)

Lunch – 3 oz can of tuna, 1/2 cup jicama (2.5 carbs)
Total – 2.5 carbs
Snack – 1 oz Colby cheese (1 carb)
Total – 1 carb
Dinner – 8 oz steak, 1 cup brussels sprouts (6.6 carbs), 1 oz feta cheese (1 carb), 1 cup romaine lettuce (0.4 carbs), 1 tbsp butter, olive oil and vinegar salad dressing
Total – 8 carbs
Snack – 1 oz string cheese (1 carb), 16 oz decaf coffee (1.5 carbs), 3 tbsp heavy cream (3 carbs), 3 tbsp davinci sugar free syrup
Total – 5.5 carbs
Daily Total – 17.8 carbs
